AI Startup Tercero Technologies Joins SOSA Open Standards Consortium

October 1, 2022

Tercero Technologies has joined The Open Group Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) Consortium as the company prepares for the 2023 launch its defense-focused automated machine learning deployment tool for field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). This software tool will allow rapid deployment of secure FPGA hardware in tactical edge applications with challenging size, weight, and power (SWaP) constraints. According to the SOSA Consortium, "[t]he SOSA approach establishes guidelines for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems. The objective is to allow flexibility in the selection and acquisition of sensors and subsystems that provide sensor data collection, processing, exploitation, communication, and related functions over the full life cycle of the C5ISR system." By developing SOSA-aligned technologies, Tercero will allow its defense and private sector customers to more easily integrate with sensors and systems from other vendors.
