Chicago-Based Defense AI Tech Startup Tercero Receives Additional DoD Funding

CHICAGO - April 18, 2023 - Chicago-based defense artificial intelligence technology startup Tercero Technologies announced today that it has received additional funding of nearly $0.5M from the United States Department of Defense (DoD).

The funding will allow Tercero to continue the development of its field programmable gate array (FPGA) tools for defense edge artificial intelligence applications, including a novel FPGA-based tracking system the company has been developing for electronic warfare systems.

Tercero received the funding as part of the DoD’s competitive Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, increasing the DoD’s funding of Tercero’s research to over $1.7M since 2020.
