Defense Tech Startup Tercero Technologies Awarded New Navy SBIR Contract

CHICAGO - August 5, 2024 - Chicago-based defense artificial intelligence technology startup Tercero Technologies announced today that it has been awarded a new Phase I SBIR contract from the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).

The funding will allow Tercero to continue the development of its machine learning-based tracking system. This work is in addition to Tercero's research related to field programmable gate array (FPGA) tools for defense edge artificial intelligence applications.

Tercero received the funding as part of the U.S. Department of Defense's competitive Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program.
