CHICAGO - June 27, 2023 - Edge artificial intelligence startup Tercero Technologies announced today that it will be transitioning technologies developed under its DoD Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contracts to the Marine Air Ground Task Force Electronic Warfare Ground Family of Systems (MEGFoS) program.
“Through the use of the electro-magnetic spectrum, MEGFoS will have the ability to locate and identify adversary forces while simultaneously providing friendly forces feedback on their signature management operations. MEGFoS will enable the Marine Corps to maneuver, fight, and sustain itself through the exploitation of the electro-magnetic spectrum.” 
Since 2020, Tercero has been funded under SBIR Phase I and Phase II contracts with Marine Corps System Command (MCSC) to develop field programmable gate array (FPGA) tools for defense edge artificial intelligence applications, including developing a novel FPGA-based target tracking system for electronic warfare systems. Tercero’s FPGA tool is able to automatically convert machine learning models to FPGA designs, allowing faster development and deployment of FPGA-based technologies in size, weight, and power (SWaP) constrained applications that would otherwise use less efficient CPU and GPU technologies.

As a member of the Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) Consortium, Tercero is also committed to the Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) to enabling interoperability of its technologies with those from other defense contractors.
